Why do we collect email scam?

I receive in average minimum one e-mail scan a day. At the beginning I was pissed because of the flood of lot of these useless stuff, I even wrote back to some of the scammers whether they really think I am so stupid that I share my personal info with them. Nevertheless the e-mail scams never stopped coming, even the contrary the numbers started to increase slightly, probably due to some smart tracking mechanisms realized that I do read these stuff and considered me as a good prospect.

Out of these encounters born the idea to publish these scams for two purposes:

  • To entertain, I mean really some of the mails are plain stupid, I can not really imagine that anyone can take those seriously
  • To educate. Who knows maybe you are unsure about the mail you got just recently, or tempted to reply. Have a look at our examples, these are all scams. I would encourage you NEVER EVER reply to any of those at all. Delete them or send us a copy to info@mail-scam.com, or use the upload page.

Here is the summary of the different kind of scams we encountered
